Get to Know Us
Every stone found on private property in the low Sierra high desert mountains of central California. I was lucky enough to go along on a job with my dad to a square mile of land surrounded by BLM in the backwoods of the Black mountain and Alta Sierra forests. Bear and Alder creeks met and forged some kind of a marshland where much of the wildlife came to drink. Also, happens to be the most southern end of the gold rush territory, last of the peaceful settlements to be colonized in the mid 1800's. Archeologists and Paleontologists marked off much of the area and carted off two feet of the topsoil and filled in the remainder with pea gravel. It's all private finds by yours truly and I feel perplexed to share.
